[Izaya's out and on the prowl in the dining room. Which is plain, by the way, very plain, and normal, and surely not anything different from what it normally is or what he might think it could be.

He's currently experiencing a dilemma involving the cup of coffee on the table across from him.

He stares at it.

It stares back with its beady china glass handle. Only...it can't stare. Because it too is normal. Normal and plain.

Giving in he tentatively reaches for the damned thing.]

No, that's just it. It's coffee. But how real is it? I mean, I can't tell if the mansion gave me coffee or if I just thought up the coffee I was expecting the mansion to give me.
